The Process…

It begins with listening.  Our initial consultation begins with a visit to your site to discuss your needs and desires for your landscape project.  We will learn more about what you like and dislike, as well as how you intend to use your new outdoor space.  You may give or show us precedent images from magazines and other sources  that will aid in our understanding of your taste and style.  We will take site photos, measurements and elevations for our reference.

From this initial meeting, you will have a good feeling of who we are, what we do and how we operate.  Once we have a clear understanding of your project needs and scope of work, we will compose a design proposal for all parties to sign.

After the proposal is signed, we will begin brainstorming on conceptual design ideas for your landscape master plan.  With collaborative efforts on our part as well as yours, we will compose a master plan to provide a  foundation for the rest of the design process.  The next step is to develop and refine the ideas on the master plan in order to ensure their constructability and determine the exact spatial relationships to your home and other site elements. 

When the design decisions are finalized, we will develop the construction documents needed to build your design.  Our talented designers will team up with our skilled craftsmen in the field to construct your project.  We offer true design + build services…our designers actually assist in building your project.  It is rare to find designers in the field getting their hands dirty.  We believe that better designers are created when they are experienced in constructing the very projects they designed.
